Meet Olivia Simonetti

Equestrian, Record-Breaking Athlete, and Fine Artist Inspired by the Natural World.

Art born from a connection with nature and driven by passion

Olivia Simonetti was born in Bay Shore, NY, in 2005 and is the eldest of three sisters. From childhood, she stood out for her high-level athletic ability, excellent academic performance, and a deep connection with animals and nature.

Raised by her parents at a horse training facility, she became involved in connecting with difficult horses at a young age. Upon entering high school, she immediately began to stand out by winning numerous track and field competitions and setting many school records. Some of her records were soon broken by her younger sister Danielle Simonetti with the exception of her pentathlon record which still stands today. In 2023 she entered Stony Brook University in New York where she also stood out for her high level of physical fitness. She qualified for the 4X400, 4X800, and the distance Medley relay teams while also competing in the 400, 500, 600, and 800 meter races individually.

Before turning 18, Olivia and her two younger sisters—who possess similar skills—started their own business helping people reconnect with their troubled horses, called Horses In Sync; Olivia continues to work with large, powerful horses every day.

She has tackled behavioral issues such as rearing, bucking, biting, jump refusals, trailer loading issues, bolting, spookiness, buddy sourness, and overall lack of confidence using her natural horsemanship methods. Thanks to this exceptional skill and proficiency, she has been invited to Africa, Italy, and numerous U.S. states to offer her services and expertise in horse training. She has also performed at demonstrations with her sisters and her personal horse Red. She also stands out for her ability to train horses in tackless mounted archery.

Among other skills, she also learned to play the guitar, draw and paint. For the time being, she treats music as an area not yet fully explored, while focusing on and devoting her passion to the art of painting. Due to her deep connection with nature and animals, she frequently experiences moments of inspiration, which she conveys through art, infusing each piece with herown unique perspective.

On rainy days, Olivia and her two sisters would often sit around the kitchen table creating realistic drawings. Her mother taught her how to draw a grid on the paper, work on each square individually, and shade objects to give them a threedimensional look. This helped her become comfortable drawing and shading with colored pencils. Over time, she wanted to experiment with different projects—such as transferring her drawings onto sweatshirts using bleach or making sculptures—but she always wanted to try oil painting. She hesitated for a while, due to her overwhelming lack of understanding towards the medium. As Olivia started oil painting, she had a hard time because she had no idea how to handle the paint. When she used colored pencils she learned to draw details as she saw them. This concept wasn’t ideal for painting because it led her to obsess over details, instead trusting that the image would eventually take shape through layers.

Olivia spent most of her free time seeking out tips and tricks wherever she could and experimenting with different techniques. There were certainly moments when she questioned her ability and talent as a painter; however, Bob Ross encouraged her to keep trying with his idea that “Talent is a pursued interest.” Even if the result wasn't what she had expected, she knew it was still a great opportunity to experiment and try something new.

Today, oil painting has become Olivia's primary choice for creative expression. She continues to learn, yet her confidence grows with every successful painting. She always paints subjects related to nature or the outdoors, as she has always felt a deep connection to animals and the natural world.

Painting has become one of her favorite ways to connect with nature, and now that she is beginning to pursue it professionally, she decided to start selling her paintings. She hopes her work can help others experience the same sense ofconnection she feels when she's outdoors and surrounded by animals.

Unlocking the Creative Edge

Guided by her mother, Olivia and her sisters spent rainy days at the kitchen table learning to grid paper, frame individual squares, and master 3D shading with colored pencils. Though she experimented with sculpture and bleaching drawings onto hoodies, her true desire was oil painting. In April 2026, despite initial hesitation and an overwhelming lack of familiarity with the medium, she took the leap and picked up her first paintbrush.
